In the Giant Mountains, the highest mountain range in Central Europe north of the Alps, at an altitude of 750 meters is the Base Camp Medvědín in Špindlerův Mlýn, which boasts a breathtaking location at the foot of the mountain and the Medvědín ski slope, right by the roaring Elbe.
